Baa Atoll stands out for the particular morphology of the bottom, characterized in the southern area of the atoll by a vast plateau from which imposing pinnacles rise from the depth of 35 meters, with top that appear between 5 and 25 meters .

This peculiarity makes Baa Atoll suitable for all types of divers, from beginners to the most experienced.

The currents can be intense in the period between December and April with oceanic East current that make the water crystal clear and rich of pelagic fish and sightings of eagle rays shoals and grey reef sharks are common.

During the South West monsoon (May - November) Baa Atoll is enriched with plankton on the East side, giving life to the "Golden Triangle of Manta Rays" between Hanifaru, Dharavandhoo and Anga Faru and the numerous cleaning stations are populated by dozens and dozens of manta rays.

Do not miss the unique encounter with manta rays gathering up to hundreds in Hanifaru Bay, the UNESCO Marine Protected Area.
